

Henrietta de Veer brings over 28 years of strategic and financial consulting and transactional services' experience to Xola. In her professional career she has supported many entrepreneurial, emerging companies develop and build successful growth strategies to provide attractive returns to investors.
She has experience in a wide range of industries, markets and types of business, including travel products and services; business services; outsourced services; biomedical products and medical devices; biomaterials and healthcare services; manufacturing; specialty chemicals, electronics, and specialty retail; consumer products; and software, IT, web services, communications and technology in general.
At Xola, Henrietta supports destination and tour operator clients taking advantage of the rapid emergence of microfinance and social capital investing by providing strategic and financial advising and transactional services.
In 2008 Henrietta led the development of the 2008 Adventure Travel Research Roundup, a compendium of data on the adventure travel industry that includes global and regional growth trends and insights, traveler profiles and other valuable information for operators, media and travel professionals.
Henrietta has a Ph.D. in Latin American/Caribbean Studies from the University of Chicago and Masters degrees in South Asian Studies (University of Chicago) and Japanese Studies (Vanderbilt University). Her Ph.D. focus was on international economic development and the components of sustainable growth among small businesses in developing economies.
