Whitewater rafting trip geared toward people with a desire to find a unique experience on multi-day river trips. White water rafting uses a raft to navigate a river. The river will likely have degrees of rough water, which range from Class 1 to 6 on the International Scale of River Difficulty. These trips can include unique cultural, scenic, whitewater, wildlife and human/natural history experiences.

Trips duration can range from three to twenty days; five days is a desirable standard for profitable multi-day trips. Each day should include full meal service. Between 15 and 30 km of river should be covered each day, depending on the speed of the river, difficulty of the whitewater, and the unique cultural stops or hiking opportunities.
Operators should seek out good camping sites. “Good camping” typically means sites near the river which are level and preferably sandy. Most sites have some sort of cover to provide shelter from bad weather and provide a reasonable place to erect a kitchen. Hiking, game viewing or visiting cultural spots add to the attractiveness of a potential camp site.
Most multi-day river trips should have the ability to be self contained, unless the trip is traveling from village to village and can arrange accommodation and food ahead of time.

Most places have different rivers or sections of river of varying levels of difficulty which should be marketed to appropriate guests — for example families for flatwater stretches. Marketing should be micro-targeted to speak specifically to potential clients. Companies should identify non-traditional places to advertise to potential clients, for example organic food markets, yoga studios, climbing gyms etc.
