In Xhosa, a language spoken on the east coast of South Africa, Xola means “stay in peace.” While “Xola” may seem like an odd choice for the name of a consulting practice, we chose it because we believe that tourism, especially niche forms of tourism such as adventure travel, have the power to positively transform both travelers and the destinations they visit, bridging divisions between people and nations.
Xola Consulting was founded in 2004 by Christina Heyniger to support the growth and development of companies in the adventure travel business around the world with creative and practical consulting advice.
