Xola Consulting was founded in 2004 by Christina Heyniger to support governments and adventure companies with creative and practical consulting advice.
The Xola team consists of professional consultants specializing in entrepreneurship and sustainable development. They are people who, in addition to being professional consultants, have also worked as guides and operators, understanding both the theory and practice of adventure tourism.

In Xhosa, a language spoken on the east coast of South Africa, Xola means "stay in peace." While "Xola" may seem like an odd choice for the name of a consulting practice, we chose it because we believe that tourism, especially niche forms of tourism such as adventure travel, have the power to positively transform both travelers and the destinations they visit, bridging divisions between people and nations.
